Tell us a bit about your business

Sabai Soaps was founded in 2015 by Gavin Thorpe and provides a range of luxury handmade soaps which are 100% natural, organic and cruelty free.  The company was founded on the back of Gavin's love affair with Asia and Thailand in particular and a desire to bring some of the exotic natural ingredients of this region back to the UK and Europe. 

Why do you think you received our best buy label?

We couldn't be happier to have received the Best Buy label as it reflects our strong commitment to using only natural, organic and sustainably produced ingredients in our products.

How do you differ from other competitors?

We are firm believers that having a social conscience does not mean that you have to compromise the quality of goods that you use.  Our focus is on providing a range of natural beauty products and homeware that work in harmony with nature as well as providing a unique experience for our customers.

What do you think is the most important aspect of Sabai Soaps?

Aside from our amazing products, I would say that our ethical business philosophy is our most important aspect.  We believe that business should be run with the community in mind and based on that we donate 20% of all our profits to a number of charities in the region that produces our goods to ensure that everyone benefits from our success.

If you had to sum up the ethos of Sabai Soaps in 2 sentences what would it be?

To provide beautiful, natural, ethically concious products for you and your home.  To give back and use our business as an opportunity to help others who are less fortunate than ourselves.

Have you ever had to make a business decision that challenged your ethical standpoint?

We have been offered the chance to work with suppliers whose ethical standpoint does not match with our own but it is always an easy choice say no as our ethics are what is most important to us.

Our handmade soaps are available on our website and we also have an active social media presence on Facebook and Twitter where you can find information about products, skin care tips and advice and details of any of our promotions.
