Technical information about this website’s accessibility

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA

Alternative text

Some images on the site(adverts) do not have a text alternatives, so people using assistive technologies may not be able to access the information. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 (non-text content).

The advert service is provided by a third party called AdButler and is therefore out of our control. We have raised an issue with this provider and will reassess in due course.

Duplicate IDs

Some form elements do not have unique ids, meaning people using assistive technology may find the form elements difficult to use. This fails success criterion 4.1.1 (Parsing).

We plan to resolve this issue within six months.

Colour contrast

Some textual elements have inadequate colour contrast, which may make it difficult for people with a visual impairment to read the content. This fails success criterion 1.4.3 (contrast).

We plan to resolve this issue within two months.

ShareThis widget

The ShareThis widget is inaccessible to keyboard users. This fails success criterion 2.1.1 (keyboard).

We plan to review the use of this widget and replace it within six  months.

YouTube iframes

Videos from Youtube are embedded within iframes on the site. These iframes do not have accessible names. This means that people using a screen reader may find them difficult to use.

We plan to resolve this issue within six months.
